Organics Department

The organic department occupies 3,500 sq. ft. of the 10,000 sq. ft. at Sierra Laboratories.  We utilize Hewlett Packard instrumentation almost exclusively with seven (7) GC’s and two (2) GC/MS.  All instrumentation is automated and well maintained on a daily basis.  The extraction lab is equipped with the latest equipment.  We are capable of performing separatory-funnel, liquid-liquid continuous, sonication and soxhlet extractions.

We also use liquid-solid extraction for drinking water methods.  We are very flexible in meeting the needs of the client, from immediate results to confirmation of MTBE by GC/MS and identification of unknown compounds by GC/MS.
